Disabled Wintersport Australia (DWA) provides the opportunity for disabled persons to more easily experience snow sports at Australian ski resorts. DWA now offers a facilitator plus infrastructure at Falls Creek, (and other resorts), to assist disabled persons wishing to experience snowsports.
The aim of this program is to provide better access for disabled persons to ski resorts thus allowing them to experience snow sports in a controlled and supportive manner, matched to their particular disability. Direction can be offered in matters such as accommodation, village movement, mountain access etc. Use of equipment can also be arranged. Any special needs will be addressed where possible.
The opportunity therefore exists for disabled students to compete in the SA Snowsports Championships via this process.
Any person, parent or group wishing to utilise this help should contact DWA’s facilitator at the resort. Contact number to be confirmed soon.
